I was in a macro mood this afternoon. After my Wife and I arrived home from work I had the puppies out back, and while they were enjoying the fresh air, I was just messing around with the camera. It was a beautiful day again today, temperatures reached into the 50's. As you look around the yard you can see the evidence of Winter. Everything is brown, the fallen leaves are dried and colorless. This reminds me of the reality of life's seasons. Life is not always full of color, but we always know that the color will return in its appointed time. Till then we sometimes find it a struggle to see our way through the colorless times, eager for the color to return. Enjoy your evening.
I think my favorite is the solo leaf, but this is lovely too. I am looking forward to Spring's colors, but I also enjoy the restful b/w of winter at times too.
Love the perspective Rick, You worked hard for this one. Great job, and yes life is not always full of color, but beauty remains if you just open yoiur eyes and look for it!
Great focusing and processing, Rick. Well over here we are having our share of the cold weather which has taken over all of Europe. Thank God we have that stretch dividing us from the mainland which helps to warm a bit the very cold winds before they reach us. But it has been really cold these last few days. Looking forward to the hot summer days.
No, not always full of color. I woke up feeling like this dried up, crushed leaf. Ugh. I am sure I will pep up as day goes by... This is a lovely shot.
Great macro. We have plenty of colour here at present, as we have had and are still having record rainfalls across the state.
Enjoy your evening too Rick.
I love the focus on the veins of the leaf, Rick. Something about that just reminds me about the flow of life. I love all the seasons and would never be happy living in the south. The variety of weather and seasons is what makes the landscape (and life) interesting. Plus it gives us something to look forward to.
Enjoy your evening too Rick.
