What does it take for you to give up? We all have different levels of tolerance, and we all have that "point" when we've had it. That's all she wrote! That's it! I can't take it anymore! Me personally, I am fairly tolerant, and I have never been one to give up easy. There have been occasions when I have, and I was sorry that I didn't hold on a little longer. Sometimes it's tough, but usually if you can get yourself to go a little longer, things improve. That has been my experience anyway. This green sprout wasn't ready to give up either. It is still trying his best to make it work.
Before success comes in any man's life, he's sure to meet with much temporary defeat and, perhaps some failures. When defeat overtakes a man, the easiest and the most logical thing to do is to quit. That's exactly what the majority of men do.

This is a very Biblical principal right here! When the olive trees are pruned, they somtimes chop them down to the ground, but the trees will send up shoots which are called "netzors". Nazareth shares the same root word- pun intended! These shoots or roots were a symbol of what God was going to do through Israel- which was seemingly cut to the ground and left for dead, but through the "netzor" or shoot of Jesse, the Messiah, they would spring back to life. Thanks for a great reminder and Bible lesson today!
I really love how well your words mesh with your photo here, Rick. Thanks for your kind words the other day. My work has been so all encompassing lately that it has been hard for me to keep up with 365. It takes alot for me to quit anything, though, especially something that brings as much beauty to my life as this community does. I'm glad you're not giving up either.
