Nesting American Bald Eagle by digitalrn

Nesting American Bald Eagle

I was told of an eagle's nest nearby, so had to check it out. Today my Brother, Josie and I drove out there and spotted the nest. I cannot believe I was able to zoom in on this enough to see its head just above the nest. We were waiting there for a little while hoping it would make a better appearance, but this is it. The partner was perched in a nearby tree, and eventually went soaring around. I grabbed a shot of it which you can see in my other album. You know I'll be going back there again, and now I may need to invest in a larger lens. I haven't view this enlarged, but perhaps you will be able to see it a bit better.
Fabulous find! I am looking forward to the other photos you get in the future!

The eagle's head is quite visible, especially when you enlarge, Rick. Beautiful shot with the blue sky as a backdrop.

Hi Rick. So good to have a chance to say hi and catch up a bit. Thanks for stopping by. =) All is good here. My husband Gary had a total knee replacement so that kept us busy for a while. He is doing so well and is back to garage sales and selling on Ebay. It's good for him... gives him a reason to get up and moving.
I am good!! Into getting myself into good shape so focusing on dropping a few pounds and will be joining the Y. The puppies are SOOO SWEET, and make us smile daily. Our daughter and her family plus their dog are staying with us till they find a place and their dog plus ours makes for mayhem at times. They play, and run together like a pack of wolves, but also all three greet us when we've been gone so it's kisses and three dogs trying to be on our laps at the same time. =)
Good to hear from you. How are you and your family AND your pups. Am thinking we both need to update a photo of our fur babies. Will work on finding a time where they are all still long enough to take one. May be a while. lol. Hugs to you, my friend.

That is really awesome! There are nests around here too, and we even saw one perched in a tree as we drove to church one Sunday. With no time to stop, I had to pass it by but I'm not sure I'd get a good shot with this camera anyway. Yes, you can see him better when viewed large. What a great thing to see!

@mary1440 Mary, all is going quite well. The kids are all doing well, both in a good, healthy relationships, living on their own. Mom and Dad now empty nesting, except for the two boys, and they are spoiled as you can imagine. It is impossible not to. Life has been good. So glad that you popped in, and glad to hear all is well. Also glad to hear Gary's knee replacement went well. Moving is the most important part of recovery. Stay safe, and enjoy life.
