A late post for yeserday, but had no time. Went to work, planning to work 3 - 11pm, but then received a call from Josie who wasn't feeling well. She was having severe episodes of headache and vertigo when standing, blurred vision, distorted hearing, and some numbness or tingling on her left side. As a nurse I know what those symptoms sounds like. I was 45 minutes away so I called my Daughter, she went there and took her to ER while I packed up work and met them there. I arrived at the ER at 6:15pm, they did tests, labs, gave her IV meds because as soon as she stood up, initially she was fine then after about 4 or 5 steps it began all over, head pressure, dizziness, then it wold pass. Well, after 8 hours, all tests came back normal, IV meds, she felt a little better, still nauseated from the one med, but we came home. She is resting and now I will wait to see how she feels later. So far so good. Expanation? Unknown. Possible cluster migraine brought on by stress. This photo I took yesterday morning of some slow melting ice coming off the awning I entitled "On the Edge" I thought would be appropriate as a post.
Must have been very stressful for you Rick being that far away and knowing how desperate the situation could become. Hope Josie is feeling better today. Cluster headaches like migraines are not fun. On the edge is a very appropriate photo. Take care
Cool shot. sorry to hear about your wife. I didn't realize you were a nurse! My mom was a nurse and my two sisters are nurses. What a special person it takes to have that profession! I wish your wife all the best and hope she is feeling better today!
Beautiful lacy shot, so sorry to hear about the worry over Josie. Hope she's doing better and it was a stress migraine. I won't say "just a stress migraine" because whatever the cause, the pain and discomfort and worry are all real!
Well, since I'm reading your posts backwards, I'm glad to know that Josie is feeling better, but she'll be in my prayers with the hopes the doctors can figure out what the cause is for sure. So glad your whole family could be there- it does mean the world, doesn't it? Beautiful shot though.
Beautiful image, but how distressing to read your accompanying narrative. Your title certainly said it all. I hope Josie has come through with no recurrence. Your description sounded scary and very painful. I'm glad your daughter was nearby.
This is beautiful Rick.
My sister in law suffers from vertigo. She just found out about it and is learning of it. I have never heard of it before!! I really hope Josie gets some answers and is better soon!!!!
Rick, I'm so sorry for Josie's episode but hopefully there is comfort in knowing the tests were normal. Sending positive thoughts her way! I just came across your project and look forward to looking at your past and future shots!
