A newbie here so thought I would introduce myself. I am very relaxed about photography, more interested in saying something with my photographs than technique. I am a Benedictine Oblate and use photography as a contemplative tool, hence my preference for black & white which I prefer and my album 'Thought from Rule of St. Benedict', where I am trying to illustrate the day's reading from that Rule. I take my photographs with both a Canon and an iPad.

Welcome, Andrew!! While I quite enjoy the processing side of photos and trying to be creative, I am not really hung up on techniques and such... I mean, I don't feel like I need to know my camera inside and out, although it would be nice to at some point! I prefer to have fun with it, also try to tell a story and use it as a way of communicating and engaging others as well.
Welcome to 365 and Hello to you Andrew. I'm as you would say very relaxed about photography myself. I enjoy viewing the work of others, and there are some outstanding photographers here, improving my skills at least a bit and 'seeing ' the world around me with different eyes
Hello everyone. My name is Max and I am a photographer based out of Brooklyn NY and I started my project January 1st but just found out about this website! I am i the process of getting all my work up to date up here. Check out my work and more to come soon!
Thanks you everyone for your very kind comments about my work, I appreciate them. Also to those who have kindly added me to their 'friends' list again thank you, I make no claims for the quality of my photographs, they are IMHO just how I see things from day to day. I did go through a phase of worrying abut the technique and quality but decided that what I am really interested in is recording the beauty of creation as I come across it. As I said earlier the lens is for me a contemplative tool, so please don't expect too much!
Have fun!
Nice to meet you all!
