Sign of the times I guess... Sad for such an important company in the history of photography. I hope they'll keep on making films somehow

Do they still have the market for silver cornered?

I saw this in the news about a week or two ago, such a shame, invented the digital camera and the photocopier. I have an instamatic 126, a Kodak APS and a digital 3600, none of which I use and I'm selling. The film is the best. I doubt very much they'll keep making it if Polaroid and others are anything to go by. Even Fujifilm just scaled back its line.

As much as I LOVE my digitals, I still keep my 35mm's around. They are fun to pick up once in a while, and it saddens me that our future generations will never know the excitement of taking "film" pictures. As a child especially, it was so much fun taking a whole roll of pictures, making a run to Walgreens to have it developed, then waiting for the pictures to come back to see what all I had captured... Sometimes, I hate how advanced we have all gotten and how electronic's of every kind seem to have invaded our lives.
