Light Up the Sky Lyrics:
You're making a choice to live like this,
and all of the noise I am silence.
We already know how it ends tonight,
you run in the dark through a fire fight.
And I would explode just to save your life,
yeah I would explode...
Let me light up the sky,
light it up for you...
Let me tell you why,
I would die for you.
Let me light up the sky...
I can't find a wall to pin this to,
they're all coming down since I found you.
I just wanna be where you are tonight,
I run in the dark looking for some light.
And how will we know if we just don't try?
We won't ever know...
Let me light up the sky,
light it up for you...
Let me tell you why,
I would die for you.
Let me light up the sky,
light it up for you...
Let me make this mine,
I'll ignite for you.
Let me light up the sky, just for you tonight.
Let me help you fly, 'cause you won't have time to cover your eyes or get your disguise.
They won't ask you why, they'll just watch you die.
And it's still so hard to be who you are,
So you play this part,
The show goes on.
You've come this far with a broken heart,
Yeah you've come this far,
And you've broken.
Let me light up the sky,
Light it up for you...
Let me tell you why,
I would die for you.
Let me light up the sky,
Light it up for you...
Let me make this mine,
I'll ignite for you.
I'll ignite for you.
Let me light up the sky,
Light it up for you...
Let me tell you why,
I would die for you.
And it's still so hard to be who you are,
But you've come this far with a broken heart.
And it's still so hard to be who you are,
But you've come this far with a broken...
Hard one, had two ideas, though not really good ones..
Didn't really understand the assignment, but my ideas were
1. "Let me light up the sky." - why don't take a photograph of someone about to release a firework of some kind? The firework named "I would die fo you" or something? just an idea
2." I can't find a wall to pin this to" - why not take a pic of someone either in a broken house with no walls, with a piece of paper with nowhere to pin it up, or someone standing in front of a wall that is already pinned up, with no room for his/her pin? Just a thought.
Anyway, the assigment was cool, but the song a little hard ;)
Good luck :D
Or a beautifully lit sky... really nice clouds or a sunset for "Let me light up the sky, light it up for you..."
You could silhouette someone (if you can) in the light of the low sun.
How about using the idea of fairy lights, over a porch, with a table set for 2, you lighting a candle? 9especially if you can get a sunset/sunrise too
Or a lot more gritty would be a revolver, open with one bullet, on a table with a ring box, open and an engagement ring?
If you can get a model, how about her face in close up, with a fire or sunset reflected in tear-filled eyes?
I find that the lay figures are useful props.... I have two ... you could use this sort of thing ... or a couple of stuffed toys! to illustrate the song ... a sort of cartoon-narrative?
Sunrise, sunsets come immediately to mind. Northern lights if you live in an area where you can see them (google how to photo them). Graffiti on a wall or a train (can't find a wall to pin this to). Just thoughts that popped into mind as I read the lyrics.
You might want to choose a song that is more literal if you are having trouble. Country songs are very full of story and pictures to illustrate. They aren't all dead dogs, broken trucks, and cheatin husbands anymore either. There are some very funny ones out there.
I can picture a man or a woman sitting on the ground with knees up and there head between there knees and someone running away maybe into the sunset or since your in the country make a bonfire and have 2 people facing each other(or some other pose) in the shadows with the light of the fire on them kind of like a silhouette. or the pose with someone sitting on the ground with knees up and head down in front of a headstone and if you have photoshop you could change the background to some sort of light,a sunset background would be good too
and all of the noise I am silence:
You or a model sitting against a stark white wall, with tape over your mouth, sad expression on your face, in between two large floor stereo speakers
I run in the dark looking for some light
You said you live in the country so maybe at sunset....set your camera timer and run down a long road, in a big flowy type dress or a close up of you on the road, holding up the dress, looking around for someone
any ideas? id prefer it not to be to old either.

Fireworks would be great, and a silhouette against a sunset or sunrise.
Good luck : )
You could silhouette someone (if you can) in the light of the low sun.
Just for inspiration :)
:)
Good luck with year 12 :)
i need to take heaps of photos (probably over 100) but choose my 5 fave ones to present. :)
