Tanja @tanja_1211 came up with the idea of doing a week long theme of water drops, crowns...etc. Glad to join her in this at most times frustrating but fulfilling photo theme. So if your lost for an idea for the next few days, or always wanted to try one, please feel free to join in. Post your captures (even old), ideas, helpful hints, or critiques on here so others can see.
thanks for starting this one Tanja @tanja_1211 & Beau @losthorizon water drops are amazing things. Here's mine for today - doesn't compare to yours but I'm happy with it.
@losthorizon Thank you very much for starting this post Beau, I really appreciate it =)
I have to say that this has been fun so far, usually its very frustrating.
Also i would love to see what everyone comes up with!
Co-incidentally I've just been doing these this week for a project to donate to our primary school's art auction. Here are a couple of my favorites:
AND
@winshez Sherrill, great attempt. Been wanting to do a milk crown for some time. @asrai Lee, thats awesome. Love the drop in the center of the crown. @cheyrebecca Wow...great capture Cheyenne. Like the composition. Great unique twist on the drop. @filsie65 Beautiful Phil. Great natural capture. @chelseap92 Wow Chelsea. Both are great. Love the second one. Great color and texture. Reminds me of a desert getting rain for the first time. @tanja_1211 No...thank you. What a great capture. So awesome. @terryvet92 Great captures Terry. Beautiful tones and clarity. Good luck on the auction. Sounds like a great cause. @jsw0109 Thanks Jeff. Being that I captured the shot at an ISO of 1600, I did have to do some processing in Lightroom to take out the grain. Actually, just increased Luminance till the point the grain vanished. But the glassy look just came out on its own. I guess maybe the angle of my pov and lighting?
Thank you all for your posts. Great to see what others have done.
@tanja_1211 in reply to your question Tanja, I did use milk in a small container then water dripped from the kitchen tap & a bit of playing around in lightroom.
@sianipops Great captures Nia. I'm still utterly amazed by the MEGA CROWN....this really should be saidin a voice like the guy who voices movie commercials. "In a world where all seems right and safe, comes a danger like none other....The Mega Crown." LOL
@gark Gark...the light on the first is freakin insane. How in the world did you pull that off. It almost looks like the light is travelling towards the sprout like comets. Awesome. 2nd one is great too. Beautiful tones and reflection.
Here are a few old ones though:

These are 2 from this past week. Not very hard to get the kids involved in the mega water crown, sure wouldn't have been able to do it on my own.
WINE SPLASH!
