I wasn't going to put this out there but there might be someone who follows me who wonders what happened, since the other day I got up at two in the morning to post a pic so I didn't miss a day. I missed yesterday and will probably miss a lot more or be done for this project. We got back from our vacation to CA and AZ on Monday the 4th, and on the 7th we had to fly back to CA because my son developed myocarditis and is in critical condition in the hospital. It is such a helpless feeling watching your child, no matter what the age, lying in a hospital bed with tubes coming out of him. We won't know anything for the next few days. The outcome could be anything from a return to normal or a heart transplant, so the mood here is up and down for sure. I admit that I am probably posting this because i have had a couple glasses of wine as we sit around after coming back from the hospital. I did bring my camera but there is no desire to take any pictures.
A break is more then understandable in a time like this. I wish strengthen and peace for your family and i hope your son recovers with no more complications or surgery. i wish i could help more, i cant imagine what you and your family are feeling but im sending my positive thoughts, and many prayers.
One of the very useful things on 365 is the support we can offer to one another and in these days I know that I and many others will be praying for you and your son and the entire family.
Yes, we would have missed you and wondered.... but in these circumstances taking pictures will be far down the list of things to do. At this stage your focus has to be on your son.
It would be good if you could drop by occasionally and let us know how he is .... and how you are too. In the meanwhile your pictures have been an inspiration and it has been good to see your world through your lens.
God bless you and your family these days.
I think Elizabeth has said it all for those of us who have been following you. I know exactly where you are coming from with the ridiculous times we post, just to get a picture out there but family is far too important to worry about things like that. Best wishes and thoughts to you and your family for the future.
Again, Elizabeth has said beautifully what I was struggling to put into words. I will be thinking of you and your family and wishing your son a full, fast recovery.
nurse here.... its hard to see anyone with tubes and wires let alone someone you love. you and your family are in my thoughts, good vibes sent your way.
I am new to the project and had not been following you. My little boy was born with a complex congenital heart defect and has so far had two major heart surgeries and will need more as he grows so my heart goes out to you, your son and family. I will also be thinking of you and I will send all my positive thoughts your way. I hope he recovers quickly xxx
Although I only met you a few month ago I must say that I enjoyed your pictures.
your news is so sad and from the looks of it unforeseen by your family. I'm one with Elizabeth and can only add to her words. by saying that my thoughts and pra yers are with you and your family... and may our Lord look out for your son. all of us will miss you.
Ray, I'm so sorry to read this news. I don't know what to say, but that I pray for good health and recovery. It's horrible to be with anyone you love who is sick. It's more horrible to not understand or know what to do. I understand the lost desire to take pictures. I'll be thinking of you....and your family.
My prayer is that God will comfort you and your family during this scary and difficult time. I pray for every Dr. that sees him that the God of this universe will give them wisdom. Also that your son will be restored to health and wholeness. Blessings on your family. I can't imaging I'd want to take pictures at this time either. Attending to your son is far more important.
(((Prayer and hugs to your son, you, and your family.))) May your son's doctors find knowlege and guidence and you son find strength of healing to overcome this.
Yes Ray, of course we would miss you, but we certainly understand your need to focus all your energy on your son. Like the others I also send prayers and support to you and your family and hope for a full recovery.
Dear Ray it has been a huge shock to read of your sons illness. Be sure I will hold him and all of his family up to God for strength and Courage during this difficult time.
I Pray he will be in hand of Doctors and all Medical staff under the guidance of the Healing God, who knows all things. I will keeps my Prayers for him until we hear from you and that he is on his way to wellness once again. God Bless him and You and all his family until I hear again. Hugs and Blessings to you.
Oh, Ray, I am so sorry to hear the news of your son's illness. I certainly understand your need to pay attention to your family at this time and will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. *Hugs*
Ray, you surely *would* have been missed as you're a part of the fabric of this community. But I fully understand your priorities and concerns for your son and without a doubt, it's time to turn your attention to him. How very heartbreaking that you should have just had that wonderful vacation with him and the family and then this befell him. My thoughts and prayers are for his recovery, and comfort for you and your wife as you sit by his side. Know we're all thinking of you, and we all hope you'll keep us updated. God bless...
oh goodness- please don't worry about this project! we will be here if you come back. Your son and family need your full attention right now! I will be adding your son and family to my prayers!
A crisis like this is no time to make decisions like this. There isn't a need to make any extreme decision. Of course, you should take time away, if you need. Come back if and when you want. I think you will want sometimes, and not want some other times. {{hugs}} I hope he has a full and speedy recovery.
I am so sorry to hear about your son's condition! Sending positive thoughts & prayers to your family right now! Let us know when he is all better! Remember to keep the faith!!
Ray, I am so sorry to hear of your son. I have always looked for your photos and I would have wondered what happened to you, if I didn't see your photos. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. I hope to see a posting every so often to hear of your sons health and how you and the family are coping with thus. God puts us where we are for reasons that we do not know. He will also give comfort and support in places that you can not imagine. Please let us at the 365 be some of that comfort and support.
Ray, I add my prayers to everyone's for your son's complete healing. Don't worry about getting your pictures up, 365 will be here whenever you decide to return!
While 365 is fun, it's not important. Our families and those we love are important and of course you must be with your family now! We understand and we are all here for you. Drop us a line when you can to let us know how your son AND you are doing!
Thank you for letting us all know you would be leaving. That was very considerate of you in this time of crisis.
Ray, i'm so sorry to hear this! I totally understand the situation and I will pray for your son's recovery. This is a project that you do it for fun, for yourself, when unexpected situation like this happened, we have no control of it, and right now, your son needs you, your family needs you, this project is the least thing you need to worry about, so don't think about it, nobody is judging you: whether you are taking a break or quitting for good. I will miss your witty words and great photos but we will always be your 365 friends and we are always here for you.
Geez, I'm so sorry to read that. My heart and very best wishes go out to you and your son. Of course this is the last thing on your mind--take care of the home front.
Your family is far more important than any virtual family or 365 for that matter. Go live and be what you need to be. May you travel safe and have the strength for your family.
We'll all miss you. Find whatever you need to stay strong for your family at this very difficult time. Perhaps it will be sharing with us? Know we're all send you love and light.
That is a bitter chew to swallow. Understand completely; family always comes first. I will keep you and your family, especially your son in prayer for a complete and total healing. May God bless and keep you all in the palm of His holy hand.
Oh Ray, this is a tough one. I feel for you and your family. I will always pray for the best outcome for all of you. Take care and keep your faith. It matters very much.
Ray, I haven't been a follower...I just happened on this post. I know this is a difficult and frightening time for you and your family. My thoughts are with you with hopes for a very good outcome.
Ray....my goodness, 365 is the least of your to do's. Focus on what is right and save every bit of your energy for the care of your family...and yourself. As Elizabeth said, many of us would love to have you stop by simply to help us direct our prayers and hopes for your son's recovery. Hope you don't mind if I send you posts on your most recent photo to let you know you are on my mind.
This is a very difficult time for you Ray, so focus on your family and particularly your son. Pour your energy into them. We in 365 can pray, hope and believe for your son's healing.
We can also be here if you need to vent, ask for help, or do anything else that we can.....
follow your heart ... your many friends and followers are here to support you no matter what. my prayers to your son and the whole family.
i understand how you feel about watching your child as i have seen my brave little son go through several procedures & operations. knowing what that was like for me gave me some comfort when i had my double mastectomy ten months after my father's death from cancer. i was glad he didn't have to watch my struggle. that said - i still miss him daily, especially since today is his birthday. I know your son is so comforted by your presence and glad to have you there to hold his hand. if you need to take a pic to calm your mind and spirit, express your mood or to escape things for a moment, know you can do just that. real life takes precedence and because of my experiences i will never force myself to take one pic a day and post on that day. it's unnecessary pressure. for me that's not what this is about, even if that is the original project intent. for me, it's about creative expression and this fabulous community of people. all my best wishes, hopes and prayers for his health and recovery ...
I am so sorry Ray! You are in my thoughts and prayers! You definitely have your priorities straight. This is just for fun, family definitely comes first!
I have admired and enjoyed your work. Maybe we'll see you again sometime on-line. Check in whenever you fell like it - you are always welcome here.
Aw Ray, you, your son and your entire family are in my prayers. Please keep us posted if you can. Am sending you a comforting virtual hug cause that's all I can send you. But the prayers!! They really make a difference and I believe in a God who still touches hearts with comfort and peace and who heals sick bodies. Hugs to you, friend.
Ray I am so sorry & want you to know that my prayers are with you. I lost an infant son 41 years ago & mean it when I say I understand your pain. Be strong, your son needs you..
My thoughts go out to you and your family in hopes that your son makes a complete and full recovery. Good luck with everything. Be sure to come back and keep us posted. I hope all works out for the best.
We will surely miss you, Ray! Family is way more important. You're 365 community would love to stay updated on your family. Drop by anytime! Sending prayers your way.
Sometimes we need a few glasses of whine to talk about things and there is nothing wrong with it. Take good care of your son and family and take good care of yourself too. Sometimes, you can't "do" very much but being there for each other can make a difference. And that is what we will do here on 363 too. Be there for you.
If you don't feel like taking pictures right now then don't do it. But keep the door open maybe one day you want to document this time too and then you know where to go to. We all wish you and your family better times.
@rayswrld Ray, I send love, hope and blessings to your son and your family. I can imagine your pain and sorrow as you stand by, helpless in the face of this event. I hope that you can feel all the love coming to your son, and your family. I'm certain that your son is comforted by your love and support-----your heart is where it needs to be. My prayers go to you all.................Barb
