Popular Page

I can't tell you how trilled I m when I see one of my photos on the Popular Page..to be among so many amazing photographers. When I visit some pages and see 10-30 FAV's and they do not appear to be on the PP I am stumped. I know they can't all go on, but when I have 6 or 7 and make an appearance I feel a little guilty. Don't know the criteria and am certainly proud to be there.....but there are just soooo many well deserved photos that should be there for more people to enjoy. I may be shooting myself in the foot and creating bad Karma....I love it when I make an appearance, no matter how short lived and thank you for your following and inspiration! You are all FAVULOUS!!

I think it has to do with your own personal best. So, if you have more FAV's then you usually do, you'll show up on the page. I'm not sure that's it, but it seems like it may play a part.

@gerry Oh Gerry ..thank you! I did read the suggested link and it made sense and appreciated it. Glad I asked though, because i may not have seen it. =)

Haha the old PP issue. Ross said that making the PP is based upon each of our own algorithims so that we each compete with ourselves and not with each other. When a pic has the right stats over and beyond what you typically have been getting lately, it triggers PP. So that way the system is more fair to allow people from all around to make PP instead of the same people who typically get huge numbers. There are times it takes me like 50 favs for my algorithim to trigger PP. So sorry no magic monkeys - thats a ruse! But hey Gena congrats I'm happy to see your excellent pic on the PP :)
