Just wanted to share with you all, because I am so excited that my new photography eBook is now available! http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00H6BO4T4
I wrote this book to address my concern that most introductory DSLR books overlook basic skills that many long-time photographers simply take for granted. Boost Your Photography: Learn Your DSLR is written with a beginner's perspective in mind and provides clear, detailed explanations of DSLR photography basics. I've also included many techniques and tips that more experienced photographers will appreciate. All levels of photographers will benefit from the "Apply It Now" activities that will make in immediate impact in your photography.
I know all of us what to learn more about our cameras and how to get the most out of them, so I thought some of you might find the book useful or might want to recommend it to friends just getting into using a DSLR.
Congratulations Katie. I'm going to look at it right now. For what I know you, you are very detailed iris Ted and have great knowledge, so the book must be great.
I JUST purchased! Thanks so much! So happy to have my very first photography book purchase be yours. I have really enjoyed your blog and your feedback on 365, and I am now using appropriate ISO's and stretching my skills because of that advice--good luck!
:)
@steampowered :) I ended up mostly writing it during November, which I have to think qualifies me to be one of those 'novel in a month' kind of people, right?
I just set up Camera Zero. Happy so far :). Never knew what P was for. I bounced around here and there reading some items and I am very excited to put some of these things to practice! I'll let you know how I get on with it :)
How cool is that that you wrote a book!! Would love to buy it, but don't have a kindle, do you know if I can also read it on my laptop/Phone? Or is there (going to be) a computer/Phone version?
@sassyinma Thanks so much for the feedback! Camera Zero has saved me on so many occasions, and I hope you have much success with it too. Excited to hear as you keep working through!
@archaeofrog bahaaaaa! sure! i was going to post to you tonight about the book... i'm about 50% of the way thru and all i can say is i really wish i'd had a book like this back a year and a half ago... and even tho' most of what you're covering is familiar to me, there are still a few tips and suggestions that i think are going to be helpful... so kudos to you! one of my kids is kind of working his way up to dabbling in photography and i am going to suggest he read your book... :)
@northy Excellent. Time to impress the third graders with my "international author" cred. Really glad that you are finding things helpful, and that would be awesome if you pass it along to your son. Super cool. (And if you ever feel tempted to write an Amazon review when you've finished ... wink, wink.)
