I am interested in a coordinating a photo walk in Portland Oregon and was wondering if anyone would like to join in. I am fairly new to the website and am just really starting to get my feet wet (no pun intended!). I haven't really explored the downtown area, but am open to most anywhere that's within a reasonable distance. My favorite places to photograph are gardens, flea markets, and antique stores.
We could meet on a weekend or some night after work since DLST is this Sunday we will gain an extra hour of daylight!!

Hey, Kari! Good for you for getting the ball rolling! I think we have a pretty big 365 community here in Portland. I'm definitely interested in doing a photo walk! We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful and photogenic city! I'm sure we can find plenty to photograph!
I live in Australia but will spending Christmas this year in your beautiful town. I would love the opportunity to catch up with some of you while there for a photo walk.

I would prefer a garden or park. I also like the idea of the gorge. I am going to WAAAM in Hood river this Saturday (weather permitting). The Tualitin River National Wildlife Refuge is also a consideration.
I'm interested. I tried to organize something like this once before but it didn't work out. Seems like you got more attention. Yeeha! I have some ideas for road trips, but am up for anything.
Yes, definitely would be interested. I've organized photo walks for/with friends before, and participated in the world wide photo walk (that's in the fall every year). We've done several downtown areas, around Mississippi Ave, Alberta and St. Johns - and walking up to the Pittock. However I will be traveling out of town until April. Keep me posted though!

@m9f9l I'm hoping to make at least one run out to the Gorge this spring to take in the balsam root flowers and the cherry blossoms. I can't remember exactly when they bloom, but I'm thinking it's April-May(-ish)? I dig rocks, too! Do you know of some good ones?
