I do lots of selfies and was wondering if anyone has any favorites of your own or others selfies. Loved Lou's recent thread about our faves from our project this year and it got me to thinking about favorite selfies, landscapes, portraits, etc. So here is me kicking off the selfie thread with my fav of my own selfies in random order:
As I have done well over 100 it was tough to narrow it down to 5, but there you go. What are yours?
I do very few selfies, but I have tried to take some with my kids (just so they remember who their mother is, as she's always behind the lens!!). So here are a few of my favs:

Every year I aim to do more, but it's not really happening! I do have a third child but I haven't taken many with him at all. Hmmm, I'll try to do one next week :)
@amandal You are my fearless leader on selfies. I always feel like Im going to puke. I need to do a month long of them. Just to get over it. But after day one Id be done.
@kiwichick They are all such touching and dear images. Those are the important shots to have. I need more of me and my kiddos as I treasure those so much and they will too.
@amandal - i don't like most of them. i wish i have someone else telling me if what i was doing was right or wrong. but then again, i'm so fussy i'd be dead if i was doing it with someone, because i'd never be happy with what i see on the screen. but i think my problem is i don't really want to look. or i'd puke, like april @aprilmilani said. but if i had a well chiseled face like lesley @kiwichick i won't be so fussy maybe, her face is timeless!
@amandal Thanks, and thanks for stopping by and commenting on them. All I can say is that you don't see me smiling in any of them. Maybe I need to get someone being hilarious in front of me while I'm taking the shot. Normal photos of me I'm always smiling :) xx
@aprilmilani More you do, better it becomes...easier...though my one this week was pretty hard as hell. Only because of what I was using, where I was shooting and what I was trying to accomplish, though.
I don't do selfies, but I like all of yours especially this one. (Nicole Campbell had 2 that I loved also a several months ago, but would take me too long to locate them)
@cimes1 I getcha and understand. It's funny how into them I got. I think it's because of my flare for drama. I miss being involved in drama stuff and this has helped me scratch that itch. Off to check on auditions now and see what is coming up in my community.

This one, because I had to really go outside my safe zone...I have been working on a Project 52 this year doing a selfie each week, but I am not happy with most of them and haven't been posting them.
@kerristephens Such a gorgeous series of selfies...you do them so well. I particularly like the prayer one and the high contrast shadow one...both faves of mine.
@bobfoto Right? Not that it matters, but interesting to consider. I deliberated and came up with mine, posted and then thought, shoot, what about Red, what about Tina, what about...dang it!!! Really hard to narrow down when it is a category you do lots in. I even had a tough time coming up with my faves of my shots from every month and sometimes wanted to go with 2 or 3 rather than one. Oh well. Looking forward to yours. Good luck picking.
Ok... I'm gonna try this. While I do like my first ever selfie back in Feb 2011, it doesn't make my Top 5, but if I am to think about shots where I had an idea and executed it.... it would be these 5 in no particular order. Starting with my can of tomato soup over the top of my head. This could have ended up a disastrous mess but it worked and I didn't have to re-do it....

@bobfoto Tell me about the mess clean up with the soup one? I am about to try my messiest shot to date and am quite worried about how it will go. Hope I get it in one take and only a few shots as there will not be a redo. Thanks for playing. I thought that the clown shot would be in your tops...that and the sistine chapel one. Is the mud man a sing sing type shot? I was thinking you should do your version of one of those dudes if you haven't. Nice work. How many more did you want to include? Did you need a top 10+, too?

@amandal A friend sent them to me. She saw them in the store and immediately thought of me (then sent them from the west coast to me on the east coast). Yup, I'm a badass alright. ;)
@amandal - the mudman was kinda inspired by the Asaro Mudmen (see profile pic). But the mess of the whole can of soup was like this... go outside, set up chair, set up spotlight... breathe in.... breathe out. take a few practise shots to see if the light is good. Check the temperature of the pie. still partly frozen, makes for the best bite form. take a bite, sheesh that pie is shite.... oh well.. oh well. Open can of soup. Look deeply into its contents. Work out which hand is doing what... pour soup over head. Stop breathing..... fudge that's cold! ok ok ok ok breathe again.... camera? where the fudge that soup is cold.... did I get soup on the camera? No everything is ok.... shit take photo, take a bunch, just snap away, this soup needs to get off me! Aaaaaaaggggggghhhhhhhhh!!!!! okokokokokok. Breathe again. OMG soup is everywhere.... okokokok put camera down, not the soup can, the camera. okokokokok its out of range, now stand up.
And this is when I realise 80% of the contents of the soup can is in my lap...
SPLOOSH! there goes that.... now, where's that tap with the running water, thank Allah it is warm here at night.... okokokok hose myself down, and now the pavers.
@darylo The west coast has the best socks. I got some red hot chili pepper (not the band but actual pepper) ones years ago and wore them out. I'll keep my eye out for bad ass ones. Isn't it the best when people see cool things and think of you...and then are so kind as to even gift you with these things. Lucky to be so bad ass, my friend!
@bobfoto Great vivid description. Made me feel worse about my plan...a very bad idea according to Mike. Thanks for keeping it clean for my sweet eyes. I now have a better idea and plan and hope to pull off amazing or at least not laughable this evening. Least I won't smell like tomatos. I read a book about a mudman by an Aussie author that I really love, Kate Morton. I think it was called The Distant Hours. Creepy creepy tale about the man of mud. Isn't profile photo a rock head? Hard headed reference or something like that?
@houdiniem I'll bet. It was fun to try to pick, but then I'm annoyed I missed some I really love. Really need more than 5...probably 10 would do it justice. Do you have an all time fav of yours, Emily?

@summerfield It's easy to be tough on ourselves. I think that you do selfies very well, my friend. You are so imaginative with them.
I like this one because it brings me right back to the mood of the day.
I always enjoy playing a character :) I prefer the alternate version of this shot on Flickr, though.
My Oddheads series was tons of fun to do. These are my two favorites from that.
And my absolute favorite, because it came out exactly as I wanted, and wasn't as tricky as I thought, either.
