Absolutely! I've learned a lot from the more experienced photographers and have been challenged to take pictures I never would have imagined even taking. I'm inspired by what I see every day!
Yes! I admit to being a bit of a snob when I first joined, not wanting to follow too many people and only wanting to follow people I considered "good" or "better than me" so that I could be inspired and pushed to do better. But I am rediscovering people I had previously dismissed and thinking, wow, they are GOOD! hehe. I still find it really hard to keep track of the people i'm following and wish there was an easy way to cut back! But really, they are all so good!
I have noticed the same thing, too, Jae. I'm glad it's not just me thinking that. There are so many wonderful pictures on here and it's great seeing the beautiful world through other peoples eyes.
I'm new here so I can't say much about other people. And I'm doing more of a non-arty photo diary thing than going for "nice shots", but I have noticed an improvement in my nicer photos. I also noticed an improvement for some of my friends over on Flickr as well.
I totally agree @lifepause ! I have seen all the people I follow improve and try new and interesting things. I have also found inspiration at my fingertips every single day. You are forced to be creative and try new things when you are doing it everyday. @aliha I did the same thing when I started, but soon got off my high horse when I realized how unique everyone is and that I can learn something from everyone!
I so agree with you Jae! I have been on the site for nearly four years now and although, at the present time, I am not uploading as much as I was I still visit every day just to look and comment on the amazing photos.
One of these days I'll be late for work or something, because I get stuck browsing the gorgeous pictures here!
I love the challenges, though I haven't participated in many yet.. Somehow I forget or can't find anything to photograph. I need to start writing those down, so I can try them at some point!
