Welcome back Paula, my images DID return when I renewed my ACE membership. I didn't think they would so was really pleased, especially as my computer back up system had crashed in the intervening period and I had lost a huge number of images!
Welcome back! I've only been here slightly over a year, so I don't know about getting the photos back ...Just wanted to say that I'm glad you have returned --365 is an awesome site!
Paula, I'd let my membership lapse when I was inattentive here for a period of time. I renewed my membership as I thought it was the right things to do (to support Ross in his effort to better the community) and in that moment, all was back in place. @dishaparekh176 and @paulavdmerwe, had you been Ace members at the outset ( or along the way) before leaving? I'm only guessing that might have been the cause of your account being cancelled. A shout out to Ross might bring a definitive answer.
There have been threads about this within the past year. I vaguely remember (did not look up the threads) that it has something to do with the amount of time that has passed. If it's over a certain threshold, Ross had written that he deleted the files as storage becomes prohibitive on the site if he doesn't do that. I don't remember the length of time but it did seem to me that it was a year or so. It may be that 3 years is too long a gap...I hope this helps! I do think the thread has been within the past 6 months or so.
@Weezilou@taffy Must be something to do with the time too! I did it for a year, then took a couple of months off, and restarted and all my photos were intact, then I took a 2 year break, which is when they disappeared. I don't mind because I have them all saved up on my computer and I really wanted a fresh start anyway so It's better this way!!! :)
