Yesterday I had 67 followers and was following the same number. Today I am down one in both categories. I can understand if one follower dropped me, but I didn't stop following anyone. What happened?
Yes, it will be a result of someone who followed you and whom you followed deleting their account.
I've noticed over the years I've been here that some people complete a project on 31st December and then decide a few days later that they won't continue and delete their accounts.
If you faved any of the person's photos, the number of photos you've faved will have fallen too.
. @blueace@dulciknit Thanks for the quick responses. Funny, even if I finished a year I would not automatically delete my account. Too many good memories here!
@silverhorn I have been posting continuously since Jan. 2010. Many of those I started with have left 365 but we have reconnected on FaceBook. I love the friends I have met on this site. I truly believe there is no friendlier, kinder or more supportive group on the web.

Also, I believe if the person happened to be inactive for a certain amount of time, Ross has a program that automatically deletes those accounts.
@mej2011 Yes, that's happened to me, and although it doesn't actually delete your whole account (you can still log in and upload), it does delete your photos and favs, and followers too.

People come and go but I'm sure you will meet some great new people here this year =)
