Show us one (or one of the) photos you think is the worst/weakest/most lame/uninspired,from last week. Between the 3rd and 9th of January.
Here`s mine:
This corner of a bedraggled cafe - I sort of like what it reminds me of but as a photo it was a not very alluring, imaginative, skillful or whatever, but it was up there more as an example of the place and sometimes that's OK.
Here's a couple of links where attempts to improve were undertaken, the first following a suggestion, the 2nd thinking there's no hope and I just had fun with colour :-D

@spaceman OK I will post the result on the same page. There were a lot of other options for this thread last week - I have got a bit lazy in this department. If it is 1am or whatever, I just don't have any energy left and it is often that time when I am either uploading or commenting. Noticed your comment on the latter - probably really sensible. Hilary and I worked out that we can easily spend 20-30 hours a week on this project. I'm sure we are not alone!
We had gotten into a car accident the night before and were stuck staying at my mom's for the night. I didn't have my camera on me so I snapped this with my 3MP phone camera :P
This one! Haha! We were travelling all day from London to NY, and I was hoping to get some interesting shots from out our airplane window, but it was filthy :(
I had taken some photos earlier in the day, but they didn't turn out right so I had to think of something quickly. The reflections and the colors are terrible.
This is mine! It's the only pic I took that day, and I felt like I had to get one in of my son becuase all of the others this week were my daughter so.... Terribly uninspired random lame shot!
this was my first blue theme entry, and it kind of sucks, in that its a little boring ... i do love it however, because it was my first "raw" photo and i was able to correct an otherwise throw away shot :)) yay ... it still looks a little lame, bit boring lol...
I think I could add all of mine this week :)
I've had over 10,000 words in essays to write for tomorrow (and still have 6500) so I've even failed 365 now :) Ah well
I wanted this picture to be so much more than it was. I didn't like the stuff in the background, I didn't like the flashy-ness...and then he ran off. No time for more. Oh well.
While I really love this painting, I was unable to be at a good angle to shoot it properly. I certainly did not do it justice, nor is it worthy of the theme contest.
This one. I just.... There is no clear subject, no focal point, it's not that interesting of a shot IMO. I hate that I even used it but I got nothing better on that particular day.
It was a toss up between this and the one from the day before. I spent the whole day with my head in the clouds and this was the best I could show for it. lol...
When I took this, I thought it was rather funny that we're a family of four and have three different tastes in hotdogs. Couple that with the Healthy College Cookbook and it just seemed like a humorous photo. After some of the other photos I've posted this week, I can't wait to get home and upload one more picture so this one will be off of my last 8 photos list.
Probably wouldn't have been so bad if I wasn't trying to do 100 things at the same time...and note too self...take a lint brush to your back drop before you use it....*sigh*
I guess it would be this one. But not for lack of trying. This is a beautiful bedside lamp - and I tried and tried to photograph it so that it would show how beautiful it is. But I didn't really like how any of the photos came out and simply picked one and posted as I was too tired to go on to something else.
I was shooting in a little eclectic store and somehow thought these would make a good photo. Then I saw the stupid crowsfeet texture and glossy paint. (they were on a bottom shelf and I couldn't see the background) I didn't delete it because it makes me laugh.
You can see the good ones from the set on my Photo Blog
I was just trying something out because I always like the way the light hits bubbles and the rainbow colors, unfortunately I couldn't really capture what I was going for..
My camera was not working well on this day, so I took one with my phone. And the flowers weren't cooperating either. All around mess. That's when I also learned that my phone has a scratch on the lens (the funky shadow dot).
I feel unworthy here...all my shots are SOOC and I am just playing around with a little one shot camera since my husband got it for me for Christmas...I think in an effort for me to keep my hands off his camera which is 1000 times better. I love looking at all these photographs..but now am embarrassed by mine.
I really cannot find anything to shoot that day and I still have a lot of things to do that day. So I just went to my sister's room ad took this photo. It's very uninteresting.
Haha, this was one of the first days I started this project and I didn't have a picture I wanted to use by the end of the day, so I just used the picture I sent to my boyfriend to show him I finally wrapped his presents. It was a crappy picture in the first place and my editing didn't do it much justice either, i didn't want to skip a day though. I'm glad other people have photos they find not attractive, not just me. (:
@spaceman I love these sucky threads...I think it takes a lot for people to post their crappy shots on here, and it goes to show that we all know photography is a craft to be perfected but never perfect! :)
@rainyroth
Oh,come on,don`t be like that.Your only 11 days in this project. And your snowy day and dog photos are great ! ....and I`ve seen people with way better cameras taking way worst shots than you! ..don`t be hard on yourself, this isn`t a competition.
And no need to push yourself too hard, this should be more like an online visual-journal/diary ,some people just keep it that simple. And if your getting discouraged, think this: the majority of all great photos look the way they look because of editing software/post processing. Just hang on and never take it too seriously.
@sarahbear9995
Sarah, that`s a lot of bokeh you got there, wich means it`s definately NOT a bad shot!
LOL I could seriously add all of mine since the beginning of this to this thread. I just haven't gotten "into it" yet and am not feeling creative at all..
The worse one I'd have to say would be this one lol...
Besides the texture of the clouds and the color...its just "eh" I wish I could've captured more water and a better angle of the bridge type object in the background
I had so many thoughts for this photo, and I learned really quickly 28mm is not wide enough for my living room. Then I stink with B&W conversion so I couldn't get that "lifestyle" feel I wanted to it. I spent hours upon hours yesterday folding laundry, and managed to only get a portion in the shot.
Was not creative on this day, so I took a picture of something that made me smile that day. Such a boring photo. I love this thread, it makes me feel better that others struggle too. :)
I took a pic in her room because of the colors. I just wanted to play with the colors that day. Just nothing special about it (besides my baby, of course).
At first I thought it was kinda cute, but afterwards, I just realised it was the result of me being uncreative and just throwing a whole bunch of stuff together. Haha.
I took this after driving all day...it was dark and I was running out of options and time. I pulled into the scenic turnout just outside of St.Ignace, MI before I crossed into 'trollville", I was tired and it looked better in the small view of my camera...not so hot bigger. Will keep at it...it's how we learn!
@mollyanne31790 don't know if anyone responded but go to the page with the photo you want. on the right at the bottom there's a link under the "share". copy and paste it into the comment. when you hit "post reply" the photo will magically appear.
This one. After some tips from a follower I went back a few days later and got a better shot, but this is my least fav from the week (even though a few of them are awful!)
I had nothing else to take a picture of that day, so I snapped a shot of the pile of clothes sitting on my top bunk that I've been neglecting to clean up.
Most of my photos are pretty sucky, really. But I embarked on this project as a way of regaining perspective after 2010 turned out to be the year from hell. A daily photo will hopefully remind me that not every day is catastrophic - some are great, and some are just dead ordinary. And that's more important that aesthetic appeal, surely?
@rainyroth@karynromeis
Thanks :) I don't like my one cause I know I could do better, I didn't apply enough on it I' ve done it in about 5 minutes, so even if I think the lighting is pretty, the framing and the B&W conversion sucks. :D
And, I agree with you Karyn, that's surely more important!
This is my "I miss my children and I haven't gone out to take photos today" shot
This is my a tree just fell in my yard and I can;t be bothered shooting anything else shot!

We had family over, and I just couldn't bother to take the time.
Not a bad photo, and still has the potential to be great, with a little cropping and an intense HDR-makeover
THIS ONE! hahahhahahahhaha
We had gotten into a car accident the night before and were stuck staying at my mom's for the night. I didn't have my camera on me so I snapped this with my 3MP phone camera :P
not verypretty although the words behind it make the picture

I was hoping for a warm glow and steam from the coffee.
Just didn't pop like I thought it would.
Honestly hate this one...only because I didn't really try, took a random picture of my desk and didn't have time to take any other pictures that day.
uninspired and boring even though the colors are pretty.
Weak. And it was a long and tiring day. But as it turns out, my fortunes have changed.
It was a toss up between this and the one from the day before. I spent the whole day with my head in the clouds and this was the best I could show for it. lol...
people actually posted that they liked this.. I don't :) It just feels so BLAH to me

this one, had brain fry from over cramming and this was all i could muster
yeah.... I just needed a pic of something.
LAZY :D
Do you think it means something that the one I like least of all my photos is the only one that isn't sooc?
Probably wouldn't have been so bad if I wasn't trying to do 100 things at the same time...and note too self...take a lint brush to your back drop before you use it....*sigh*

hate thisssssss
no time for a good picture :/
I'm rather iffy about this shot.
I was just trying something out because I always like the way the light hits bubbles and the rainbow colors, unfortunately I couldn't really capture what I was going for..
My sister really wanted me to take a picture of her trophy and I was in a hurry and the lighting just wasn't good.
I lost track of time and couldn't get anywhere to see the sunset.
Just grasping for ideas on this one!
it's also really fun to look at our bleh work, will post something cruddy in the morning lol

This was kind of a lazy picture, and the lamp's reflection looks kind of dumb.
I knew this was poor quality when I posted it but wanted to get something in
The worse one I'd have to say would be this one lol...
Definitely this one but next week will be more difficult to choose from me thinks - such a contrast of style and subject matter!
This one. I love the macro on my camera but I had no opportunity to take a good picture that day, so I got one of a thumbs up lol.
This one really sucks XD
how can i get the picture to show up....all i'm getting is a link!!
this isn't my favorite pic of the week, since it is a fly, however you look at it. :D
it isn't as sharply focused as i would have hoped.
At first I thought it was kinda cute, but afterwards, I just realised it was the result of me being uncreative and just throwing a whole bunch of stuff together. Haha.
I couldn't think of anything else to shoot.
I spent the rest of the week explaining what it was to baffled followers.
i hate running out of ideas.
the food was good. the picture is not.
last minute shot....
Was late, hadn't had a chance to take a pic... this was it :(
These are my 2 sucky ones....
this one :P
I had nothing else to take a picture of that day, so I snapped a shot of the pile of clothes sitting on my top bunk that I've been neglecting to clean up.

I'm absolutely not happy with the way it turned out, I think the perspective just sucks, but I just couldn't get it right!
