As I end this project after 10 years of daily posting, I would like to thank all that followed me and enjoyed my photos. It will be difficult not going to this page to post since I have been doing it for so long. I started this project on January 1, 2010.
I has been a wonderful community and enjoyed some amazing photographers.
I am ending this project for personnel reasons since I am not getting as much out of this community; comments, criticism, words of advice, as I did in the first years that I participated in it. I tried, yet in the last few years it felt like I was just going though the motions of posting. In the end, I was doing this project for myself and not for others.
Good luck in all your future photo endeavors, Joe! I have enjoyed your posts, and will miss you.
I will pop in and view your stuff on Weebly as I can although I really do not do FB.
I have enjoyed seeing your work over the years and will miss you on this site. I also have been here for years and use my albums more as a daily diary than a source of conversations. I will look for you on FB! Happy New Year!
Your post has got me thinking about why I post and what I get from the site. I post for me,not others, it's my challenge and mine alone, so it appears that I am at odds with your sentiments.
I hope posting for others on your website and facebook works out for you, don't lose sight of the fact your are posting for you, to get feedback,in the form of comments critique and advice you have missed here recently.
Joe, I always enjoy your posts. Due to my own health issues which leave me a lot less able to maintain focus, and do things like read books and write much, I have greatly reduced my interactions with others. I still scroll through my feed and love your pictures because they are often in depth looks at my own area. Happy new year my friend.
Best wishes on your new endeavors! I'm entering year 10 and still get just as much out of this site as I did in year 1 although what I'm getting now is different than what I got then.

Welcome back to 365, both of you (although I know you haven't been gone very long, Joe - lol!!)
I hope you both have a wonderful year here - taking photos can be so addictive!
@carlasmith1990 So good to see you here again- I was actually just thinking of you the other day!
@cirasj Glad to see you've decided to give it another go Joe. If you are looking for critique- please feel free to ask me for it anytime. I'm not a technical expert but I feel have very strong compositional skills if you want any advice there.
@carlasmith1990@cirasj@olivetreeann you are all people who have made me smile, made me think, made me see beauty beyond and I’d imagined. I’m sad that some of the people I loved to follow here have died, but I’m glad so many great people ares still here.
@pandorasecho I agree- I miss the faithful comments of Carole Imes and Bonnie Lusted. Bonnie taught me so much- and Carole was just a happy bird singing on a tree!
@pandorasecho I did not see Lou Ann's original post and just got an email from her- Henri- another name on the list of people who've made 365 such a special place. She will be missed but not forgotten.
@bruni She was, wasn't she? I still remember all the pictures of cardinals she took (her favorite bird) and of her little white dog.
