Thank you everyone who participated in the camera settings challenge. The purpose of these challenges is to learn new settings, improve ones we already know. We encourage others to offer opinions & suggestions on how to improve & learn. Sometimes they may be personal opinion or taste but it is great to learn and hear the suggestions from others.
Patty started this Camera Settings Challenge but unfortunately she wasn’t unable to continue hosting. She asked me to select winners & post them for a vote. I will do my very best. I didn’t set up the challenge so I hope I did a good job in selecting the finalists. There were several others I also liked as well so it was difficult for me to choose.
Here is the original thread:

Patty said "The idea is to feel rather than simply see the image.
So this week's challenge is to use your camera: its lens and setting - aperture, shutter speed, focus, etc - as well as things like motion, to change the picture, to give a sense of movement, color, scale or otherwise lend an emotional impression to the photo rather than simply depict the scene. This is a shooting challenge, not a Photoshop/software exercise. You can enhance what you capture, but try to make the camera the primary tool."
I will leave it up about 24 hours and announce the winner some time tomorrow.
***** If you are one of the finalists - please keep your eyes on this post. You will be asked to select another person to teach us a new camera setting through a challenge or host one yourself. We would like to post the next challenge as quickly as possible. ******
Please keep your eyes on this thread - tomorrow one of you will be announced as a winner and asked to get a new camera settings challenge started by finding someone to host a new challenge or hosting one yourself if you have a camera setting you would like to teach.
Is it possible for you to post what the settings challenge was each week when the finalists are posted....I do not remember seeing what it was so it makes it more difficult to vote! Thanks.
Since it seems to be something about movement, I vote
