Thank you all so much - I am absolutely chuffed fluffy & witless at "winning" this challenge - I saw the quality of the other finalists and I have no idea how this happened! - But I am shrieking like a girl and jumping up & down as I text everyone I have ever known to share the (astounding) news!
“ETSOOI is an acronym that was started by MaryBeth @espyetta that means edit the sh#t/stuffing/shenanigans out of it.. It is the war cry of the hopelessly PS addicted and here on 365 we like nothing more than to feed those addictions. _ Honestly this is the site that starts these addictions!!!
The challenge will start today May 28th and end Saturday June 15th at 10:00PM GMT (10:00 AM here in New Zealand). Your picture must be taken during that time. Voting will commence as soon after this time as I have looked through the entries and picked five finalists. The winner will host the next challenge and choose it's theme.
I've tried to check back through the previous challenges so as not to repeat the theme so if I've mucked up let me know - The first few challenges have been abstract followed by Emotion - Movement - Reflection - Weather - Energy - Water - Wildlife - In no particular order!
The Theme for this round is LIGHT
Please tag your pics ETSOOI-11 and also share them on this discussion thread.
I hope you enjoy this as much as I do - and remember if you want to share the original or your process we really enjoy seeing how you got so far out on that limb!
This is a long exposure light painting of traffic and street lights in downtown Dayton, Ohio. I ETSOOI'ed it in Picasa, inverting the colors and playing with the highlights and shadows sliders.
As someone who generally speaking does zero to no editing, I'd forgotten about this challenge, but I'm belatedly tagging my shot from yesterday for it, because I did a lot of editing on it. It's still recognisably the same image though, so I don't know if it "counts" or not. If I remember I'll try to put the original image online for comparison, this evening.
This was my first attempt at a long exposure shot using an LED light, then I edited the sh@t out of it!
