A great big 'Thanks' to all who voted for my entry to tag challenge 82. I am delighted that it came in a winner as is my daughter. Let's not waste anytime and start the fun all over again with tag-challenge- 83.
Here's how it works:
Go to the "Browse" section and then select the "By Tag" link. Close your eyes and randomly click on a tag. Do it again (and no peeking)! These two tags will become your photo assignment. You will then use your two randomly chosen tags as an inspiration to create one picture that encompasses both tags. Please CLEARLY state your two tags when you post your entries, as this will let me know what your assignment was. You may submit more than one entry.
For this challenge, if you chose a set of words that you feel it would be impossible to do anything with, rather than skip the challenge all together, you may opt for the host’s tag words of “Camera"and “Window” (selected randomly as above).
Start of challenge: Wednesday, September 25th, 2013
End of challenge: Thursday, October 3rd, 2013
Voting starts: Friday, 4th October, 2013
Voting ends: Monday, 7th October, 2013
NOTE - Photos must be taken within the challenge time frame to be considered for a vote.
The number of finalists will be chosen depending on number of entries. The winner will host challenge #84.
Please remember to tag all entries as tag-challenge-83 so that I can find them.
Please share them in this thread (optional) so everyone else can enjoy them too. You can also see all the pictures entered for this challenge here:
I have no clue either. Boats are daisies are not an everyday sight where I live. I either have to learn to make paper boats or adopt your tags (camera and window sounds fine to me, I have both). :-)
@mzzhope hope, thanks for the good laugh this morning. And why can't I get kids and portrait? Lol. Very interesting tags you got. I hope you are into music.
@taffy I think so. I remember seeing HDR in black and white. Those overly high-contrasty black and whites, but then I've never done HDR, so don't count on my words.
Oh dear...............I was far too keen and went stonking off today and got my shot..........didn't read the bit about Wednesday 25th being the start...so here is what I did...but appreciate it wont count!!
@pixiemac Of course it counts! it is a wonderful entry and I am new to this. So It is my mistake not yours. Wonderful work, well done for getting onto it so quickly.
I will try to take into account time zones and work it out. Which time zone is preferred?
@spanner hi Spanner, thank you for your kind comments, Iike you, I am new to challenges, so I am not sure what time zone is normally used.........anyone out there know?
@cgoose Now that is tricky - I have an image of a church gutter filled with leaves and an enthusiastic photographer perched precariously on the edge of the roof taking shots. Be safe!.
@spanner its not really a mistake, just bear in mind that when it is friday here it is still thursday when a lot of other folks are reading it, a bit of leeway is allowed I am sure
@pixiemac The time zone that the person setting the challenge in is usually used. I am in UK so if I was setting the tag challenge it would be in GMT and if you are not in GMT time you have to check when the start and end date and time is for you.
@kali66@happysnapper65 Thank you both for your input. I will try and make it as even as possible. I am sure as this is a global community every one will understand.
@spanner They are software from Nik Software. I think it was bought out by Google and they have some discounted prices on these software. I'm thinking of buying them myself. Heard many good things about them.
This one was also inspired by Katie @archaeofrog . I was going to post another selfie, but these kids were curious when they saw me on the merry-go-round. I showed them my photos, then asked if they wanted their pictures taken.
Why can't I ever get macro and insect?lol.No..not really I would rather have a challenge.:)
@taffy I think so. I remember seeing HDR in black and white. Those overly high-contrasty black and whites, but then I've never done HDR, so don't count on my words.
