I thought a while on what to select but in the end decided to go with something I shot a couple days ago.
The mundane item of choice for this week is the 'clothes peg'. Upon research, I discovered that it is also referred to as the 'clothes pin'. There are so many varieties of pegs, and so many uses, I cant wait to see what everyone comes up with!
The mundane theme was started by Aaron @grizzlyghost, for those of us who may have lost inspiration. He suggested we take an ordinary, boring object and start shooting it. Turn the ordinary into the extraordinary!
You are free to use any photographic technique you like to capture this everyday subject. The only rule: there can be no question the object of the challenge is the star!
The challenge officially starts now, 1st January 2014 (AEDT) and runs through to the end of Sunday 5th Jan (GMT). I will announce the finalists on Tuesday for voting. The winner will be announced on Friday 10th January (AEDT).
Feel free to post your entries onto this thread as well, as inspiration for others!.
The following is a list of objects used so far for the challenge:
toothbrush, screwdriver, veggie peeler, bar of soap, scissors, electrical plug, paperclip, jar, language, cardboard, toothpick, hex key, hair comb, screw, button, key, coin, ballpoint pen, shoe, glass, plastic bag, thread, books, lightbulb, toilet paper, envelopes, door handle, teabag, broom, tin can, egg(s), shoelaces and clothes peg/pin.
ooooh! this sounds like fun... pretty sure i have some plastic ones kicking about somewhere... wonder if i can find some wooden ones... hey Happy New Year to you too! it's still 2013 where i am ;p
