So fun to design an album cover and so exciting to win an Album Cover Challenge!! But, then I find out I get to learn how to host a contest. Maybe you will get the same thrill when you WIN AlbumCoverChallenge21, which starts on January 19, 2014. Get ready to have some fun:
This is how the challenge goes:
1. Go to Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/)and hit "random article" on the left. The first random Wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.
2. Go to The Quotations Page (http://www.quotationspage.com/) and hit "random quotes" on the left. Scroll down. The last 4-6 words of the very last quote on the page is the title of your album.
3. Now go find a photo that fits your album! (Remember covers are usually square.)
4. Use your favorite editing program to create your cover. You can use any image of yours for the album, old or new, but you must use your own images.
5. Enter your album(s) in the challenge by tagging it with “albumcoverchallenge21”
The challenge will run from Sunday, January 19th, until Sunday January 26th at midnight, PST (Seattle time). All entries must be posted between now and then. There's no limit to the number of entries you can make; just be sure to tag them as instructed above.
On January 27th I'll choose the top entries for your voting - the entry with the most votes wins, and the winner gets to host Album Cover Challenge 22. Do share your entries with the rest of us by posting them on this thread but above all ENJOY !!.
C'mon, get out there and have fun in 2014. This is a chance to really get creative and play with your images.

I got interesting ones, don't know if I can pull it off though!

This is such a cool challenge! I'm having fun looking through all the past entries. My band name is - Bombesin. Album name - "Is one without laughter." (The most wasted of days is one without laughter. E.E. Cummings.)
Band: Dolichocolon - meaning an abnormally long colon (which could probably be useful if you are cycling all day!!)
Album name: End up hurt because of it.
Hular-e Olya (Persian: هولار عليا) is a village in Kolijan Rostaq-e Olya Rural District, Kolijan Rostaq District, Sari County, Mazandaran Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 166, in 55 families.
This is a shot of the buddies I hook up with every year- they are from my university days- I think they look the part as an ageing rock band that have seen better days. In my mind they are from left to right DKV on lead guitar and vocals, Nick R on Bass, Rog on drums and Ande on keyboards. Catch em sometime soon in my imagination.
The bad name is a creek on Ontario and the full quote is-
"You can have it all. You just cant have it all at once" Oprah Whinfrey
