Thank you Mandy @emrob for hosting the last challenge which allowed me to learn a technique that I wanted so much to learn! And thank you to those who voted for my focus stacking photograph. I am honored to get to host the next technique challenge! After considering a few different topics, which turned out to have been done before, I went through the long list of past techniques one more time and noticed that β ARCHITECTURE hasnβt been done before. It's amazing how many different styles of architecture photography there are. I have seen many displayed on the Project already.
Wikipedia defines Architectural photography as; βthe photographing of buildings and similar structures that are both aesthetically pleasing and accurate representations of their subjects. Architectural photographers are usually skilled in the use of specialized techniques and equipment.β
You don't need special equipment for this challenge!
I am going to leave this wide open. I am also leaving it up to you as to whether you shoot interior or exterior. I hope you enjoy this challenge!
@annied - Thank you Annie! I hope that this new technique/challenge gets the creative juices flowing in many 365ers! I know that there are many adept architecture photographers on the Project. I look forward to seeing yours. Wet or dry! :-)
I am not sure about the challenges - does it mean you have to take shot during the specified time, or only upload a shot during this time, which might be taken earlier?
Sorry, If I missed something...
@evieheaven - Welcome to the Project Evie! That is a great question! All challenges are different in their requirements for submissions. You need to read each challenge to see what the host is requiring for that particular challenge. This was my first attempt in the "Technique Challenge" myself and so I needed to go back through the technique challenges to see if I could find an answer. I found that at the beginning of this challenge, 1-16 that most of the challenges required that a photo being submitted was to have been taken during the period of the challenge. At some point that restriction was being left out only to reappear on occasion.
Since I didn't put that restriction in this challenge it can be outside the challenge dates. Since there isn't an individual overseeing this challenge I guess it is up to the person hosting as to whether that restriction is in place.
As a helpful side note: If you address a member of the Project it is beneficial if you click on the reply next to their name as I did yours. That way they receive a notice of your comment.
@miketodd - No problem! Tagging it just places your photo in sort of an "album", but doesn't display it on the challenge page. You need to copy the code of your photo and paste it on the challenge page. You can see what I am talking about if you click on the last link in the challenge description.
Doug, you mean this beautiful shot, correct? You just have to click on the ellipsis next to the comments / fav buttons on your photo, and then copy the "Embed Code" and paste it here :)
@danette - Thank you Danette for your 'congrats' and enthusiasm for the challenge as well! This should be a piece of cake for you! ;-)
