NEW B&W challenge starts: Glassware

November 9th, 2016
Thanks @ukandie! for starting and hosting the previous black and white challenge. I am so honored that my shot was chosen and thanks to all who voted and to all the entrants. The shots were all so inspiring.

The theme of the new black and white challenge is GLASSWARE, drinking glasses of any shape or kind. The next challenge runs from Thursday, November 10th thru Friday. November 25. I’ve added an extra day to the two-week period to incorporate the U.S. holiday of Thanksgiving.

All entries to be taken and posted within those dates...

Five photos will be chosen for the voting... the winner will get to host the next round of the challenge...

Please tag your photos bw-3.

Feel free to post your images to this thread as inspiration to others, and to help keep the thread visible... have fun!!! Enjoy the creativity.!!!

Looks like I started early, it's still Wednesday here (although it is Thursday for some). The start is local time and not something like GMT, correct? I'll pull my tag off today's image if so.

Also vases, water jugs etc??

@hvansteenburgh As long as shot was taken after the challenge was posted it is ok.

@quietpurplehaze Hazel, let's keep this as just glassware to drink from. If entries are too limited, then it might be broadened to include the others.

@granagringa have posted a photo but not sure how to post to this thread?
November 12th, 2016
@365projectorgjenfurj You don't have to post to this thread, but if you want to, go to the photo and under the name of the photo, to the right of where it says number of comments and favs, you'll see three horizontal dots. Click on that and there will be an "embed code". You can copy and past that onto a comment in this thread. When you paste it, it will read as the code, but once you hit "post reply" the photo itself will appear. Hope that helps. And welcome to the challenge! Glad you are participating.

The advantage of posting here is also that it keeps the thread 'live' and near the top of the discussion list. This is a shadow that was created with light going through a Waterford glass...a miniature of the glass itself. Not a great photo, but I had a good time playing around with the optics.
