Thanks so much to Mike @mikegifford for hosting the last WWYD challenge with the shot of the Bay Farm Island Bridge that connects the Alameda island to the East Bay near the Oakland International Airport in Northern California.
The image for this challenge is a small shepherd's hut in the mountains near Queenstown New Zealand.
The challenge will run from 14 Dec 2016 to 31 December 2016. Voting will take place thereafter and a winner announced shortly after a few days of voting.
So here are the rules:
- Save the starting image on your computer. NOTE: If you select the “Sizes” under the right-side menu and scroll down to the Original or Large option you can copy and paste to your browser or download.
- Upload the photo you edit to one of your albums and tag it WWYD150.
- You are also welcome to add your image to this discussion thread. Go to your edited photo, click on the elipsis (. . .) copy the "share" code to the right, and paste it here.
- Multiple entries are allowed.
- There are no editing rules. Edit the starting image any way you’d like. No editing software on your computer? No problem – go to a site like Picmonkey and upload/edit your pic for free. You won’t be able to use all the features but there are plenty you will be able to use.
Please use these WWYD Challenges to push yourself to try new editing techniques! If you’re just beginning work on tonality, color control, curves, detailing, sharpening, gradients and other effects. As you get more familiar with all the editing tools you can add things like dodge and burning, layers, masking and textures. As you push yourself even more move to image extractions and full compositions. Remember to keep pushing and learning, and most of all have fun along the way!
@dkbarnett As CottiaC mentioned, your picture is not showing in the instructions. If you are not comfortable editing the original message, go ahead and add the image to the thread:

@dkbarnett - Pretty sure I see the image you're talking about when I went into your photos, but you'll need to post it in the thread here by following what @byrdlip said above :) I already started in on my version just in case that's it lol.
@dkbarnett Are you going to post the voting for this challenge??
