@ethelperry Don't worry, Ethel. I have noticed that there are several challenges that have a small number of entries. Perhaps it's because of the summer holidays, children's vacations. As long as there is at least one entry, the challenge goes on.
I do not think that it has had its' day but I have noticed that there is a decline in entries in all the challenges.
I am of the opinion that you run with the entries you have and not to worry about the quantities. If there are only five members who entered, then they all get short listed!
Imho, challenges are the heartbeat of 365. They inspire creativity, encourage us to try something we might not otherwise have done, force us out of our comfort zone and, in general, make us better photographers. So I agree with @monikozi, @northy and @farmreporter. Keep them all going even if there aren’t many entries. Also, kudos to @monikozi for putting out the weekly SH*T list. It is a big help for keeping up with current challenges.
Hi everyone - I just read all of your comments and have to agree with them all. This is a super challenge - it really gives you a chance to enhance your processing skills. I have, though, often wondered what the original images looked like. Would it be a stupid idea to suggest that maybe the entries could show both the before and after version in a simple diptych or collage? Could it help create a bit more interest? Just a thought. I have also wanted to see just how much ETSOOI'ing was done to save a photo. A before and after shot is good but I would prefer to see the full size shot rather than a smaller diptych or collage. But - that may be just me and I will go with whatever everyone thinks.
Sorry, I only posted 12 photos last month, been “that kind” of a time lately. None of them were remotely ETSOOI. I’ll try and use this reminder to spur me on.
