The closing time has been extended to allow more time for you to hide a surprise in your composite creation.... The closing date is now 30th May. Looking forward to some surprises.... :)
And here's a P.S. at the top instead of at the bottom of the page -
If you've never tried to make a composite but would like to try here's a link giving you some directions. But be warned - it is addictive! https://www.masterclass.com/articles/composite-image-guide
And now - here's the real info for the challenge -
Very many thanks to Jackie @30pics4jackiesdiamond for hosting the last round of the Composite Challenge. Thank you to everyone who took part and who voted. It was an honour to be chosen as the winner.
For the 46th composite challenge I thought we might have basically an open choice - with one little requirement.
Your landscape composite or your floral composite or your abstract composite or your architectural composite or your fantasy composite or your story telling composite - whatever you choose - should contain a hidden surprise of some sort.
Your composite image can be realistic or as fantastic as you’d like to make it, but it should contain a hidden surprise of some sort.
I’ve had a go at a couple - it was fun. I’ve shown one at the bottom of this post as a possible example.
Wikipedia describes compositing as “the combining of visual elements from separate sources into single images, often to create the illusion that all those elements are part of the same scene." Making a composite image can be fun and it is easy to fall down the rabbit hole of processing, layering and erasing. You will find any number of tutorials for your chosen editing program on You-Tube.
For this challenge you MUST use at least one picture that is completely yours but you may blend in stock images, stickers or text if you so choose.
***Please keep in mind that if you use an image that is not yours, it must be licensed as copyright free to use for any purpose, and you should credit it in your narrative***
You are very welcome to enter as many times as you wish but only one entry from any contestant may be chosen as a finalist.
The challenge details:
Start date – 6th May
End date – 23rd May - extended to the 30th May....
Tag – composite46 (No gaps or dashs in the tag or it won't work!)
