That should obviously be Photography becomes a treat!
First of all thanks to everyone who commented on my first discussion,

I loved seeing the massive range of locations. This project certainly makes you notice where you live and appreciate the beauty of it even if it's a bit of a hole (like where i live).
I had an idea for another thread, and it's such a dreadful chore you may as well stop reading now, it will be so unpleasant if you contribute, oh ghastly.
I want you to prepare-cook-buy your favorite meal! and photograph in the most interesting-delicious way possible!
Okay as before it's my anthropological/geographical interest which sparked this, but it doesn't have to be your 'local' delicacy, if you live in tonga and your fav is beans on toast then do it! Happy snapping, and eating!
mine, it seems, is the least photogenic meal of all time, fish and chips (beige and beige) I suppose we should detail ingredients and heritage if it's something less famous!

@chewyteeth I'm in Scotland and my very favourite meal is haddock, chips and mushy peas. Mushy peas definitely don't photograph well! However, I'll have to shoot my second fave - hub's veg curry next time he makes it.
This is a shot I took in mid January. It's some of the ingredients used in a dish we call 'prawny thing'. Obviously there are no prawns in shot but it highlights the other ingredients which are always present :o)
Took this pic in October. It's poutine, a meal we have in Québec, Canada (they have it in other Canadian provinces, but the best one is in Québec, and in Québec City). Poutine is french fries, with FRESH cheese curds (it's so much better when the cheese is squeeky) and special brown gravy. Do not try this at home with any brown gravy (ex: hot chicken gravy), it's really not good lol.
@pprmntmochamama you should hold a competition to see who can name the most dishes around the collage, and the prize is you cook for them!!, I got chocolate muffins, brownies, chicken and corn risotto, hot chocolate, bundt cake, some kind of iced brioche...I give up!
@chewyteeth ~ nope... the only one you got right was the bundt... rofl. Running around the shot clockwise, starting in the top left we've got Zucchini Muffins, Turkey Corn Soup, Peppermint Mochas, Chocolate Chip Cookies, Apple Twist Bread, Chocolate Muffin Loaves, Apps Three Ways, Mac n' Cheese with Hot Dogs, Cottage Pie and then a Cinnamon Swirl Bundt in the middle.
I'll cook for anyone that shows up at my door - and people seem to know that which is why I always have such things made... lol.
@brizmako
I knew something good was going to happen when two rib eyes appeared on the recipe...amazing, I'm surprised it's in a UK paper though, the price of beef (and everything else) here means only lottery winners could eat this. I'm gona have to try my best and post a manwich soon, maybe my weekend project. :)
I don't know how to do this I don't think it's going to work! Anyway, took a photo of Mole yesterday especially for this, it's a traditional Mexican dish made from chilli, chocolate, orange and cinnamon. It's delicious!
like that, just copy and paste the share code. @haevans they sound amazing, which reminds me...please teach me some Mexican recipes when you come back (including these!!)
Lunch from a local Mexican restaurant today... I know you usually don't get sandwiches at a Mexican place, but this was amazing! (Melted cheese, shredded chicken, spicy mayo, and lettuce on a crusty bread.)
I need to branch out and take more food pictures. I only have one. It's from a get together to celebrate the birthdays of me, four of my friends, and my daughter [we're all late February - late April]. I made the cupcakes. Mmmmm.
@robynelizabeth
ha no curry sauce, like and English version of Chinese curry which is a bit sweet and a bit spicy, nice with chips. This meal is traditionally eaten with mushy peas, as you probably know. :)
@robynelizabeth nice pastry.
well you should come to England just to try fish, chips and mushy peas. It has to be north of Birmingham though, else you'd end up with any number of curious southern horrors, preferably to seaside towns near Whitby on one coast or Morcambe on the other. Saying that after you'd eaten the best meal of your life there's not much else to do, so bit of an expensive eat!
Nothing exotic or ethnic here . . .
Potato Skins for the big game!
Tasty, but not so pretty cupcake.
These are actually doggy treats from a local pet bakery.
@lisjam1 I'd get half way through that plate before I even realised they weren't real cakes I bet, they sure look the part. I'm feeling that you sampled one, just to make sure they were good enough for your pooch????
@chewyteeth Exactly! My dog is a connoisseur of fine food and I had to be sure these were up to his expectations. (Actually he’s a labrador and will swallow anything you throw in his mouth whether it’s edible or not. Except black olives. He hates black olives. Go figure.)

...but here's some others of which I'm fond.
