Now I want to change our direction a bit from photographers to awesome painter Claude Monet.
Claude Monet was a founder of French impressionist painting, and the most consistent and prolific practitioner of the movement's philosophy of expressing one's perceptions before nature, especially as applied to plein-air landscape painting. The term Impressionism is derived from the title of his painting Impression, Sunrise (Impression, soleil levant).
So lets see your Impressionism! You're welcome to make photocopies of Monet paintings or create your own masterpieces in that style :) Be creative!
The contest starts today September 15 (16th for some timezones) for one week. Your entries are accepted until September 22 .

At the end I will select 5 finalists and all 365ers will select the winner.

Perfect timing! I live in a city - so this would have been more difficult... going on vacation this weekend to a place by a lake! So excited to see what I can do!!
Excellent artist choice! He was the reason I majored in Art History. Can't wait to see all the entries--I expect to see some fabulous water lilies, bridges, cathedrals, haystacks, poplar trees, train stations, landscapes--oh I could go on & on! Can I FAV the Artist Choice? :-)

@nicolecampbell You can try to make your photo during the challenge week. But I think it's not a big problem if you edit your old photo (that was not posted to 365 before) and upload it to any date between 15-22 September.
I can't enter this, as it's one I took in July, but like Sara, I thought I'd share, especially as I have no idea how I'd manage to come up with anything for this one - so difficult! (these lillies were just there for me, under "pressure, it's so much more difficult!).
