Creative: Forsaken Abandoned and Forgotten were favourites in the past. Let's revisit the idea the idea this year with forsaken.

When this category comes up, you really have room to express yourself. You can interpret the assignment literally or figuratively. Unlike the other categories, the idea of this category is to let your artistic impression shine.

Question please, looking ahead as I like to ponder the theme during the week then shoot on the weekend. I feel like I’m missing something on the select color? Is it select a color and shoot or is it a function on my camera?
I thought I might just have a look at everybodies' interpretation of "forsaken". It was an interesting group. Would it be alright to choose one that particularly appealed to me to put on the thread at the end of each week? Thanks Rob
Selective colour is a processing technique where the result gives you a mostly black and white image, with one item or part of the picture in colour - some great examples can be seen if you search by the recent flashofred2018 tag, or the tags SC and Selective Color. It can be tricky to achieve, which is why a lot of people shy away from it (but that's why they call this a challenge!).
Depending on which editing software you're using, you can find some great tutorials online with a quick Google search. Hope this helps a little!
@robz@sarahlth I don't see why not as long as you tag the person who took the image, I've seen this done with other challenges so I say go for it :) I might include this suggestion in future posts so that others could follow suit?
@m2016 Thanks for your reply Mel - I'll wait until week 9 is over and you have announced week 10 and then post one on the bottom. There have been so many good images posted and it will be nice to showcase a few of them. Thanks for your saying OK. Cheers Rob
