I'm attempting to get rid of the window smudges and am having no luck. I've only had Photoshop Elements 12 for about a month, so any tips or opinions on if an edit is possible or not would be greatly appreciated.
What a lovely bird! I am useless at processing so have no idea where you would start to remove the window smudges. Hoping someone else can give you a clue?
Honestly the shot is so great I didn't notice the smudges. Not sure if Elements has a healing brush tool but I used that in PS cs2 for this. The Picmonkey clone tool works too.
Looks as though we are all having a go! I used 'retouch' within iPhoto. I'm certainly no expert at processing, I was just curious to see if I could help with your request.

Thanks for the responses everyone! Now I'm kind of kicking myself because I had originally wanted to enter this photo into a contest but was unhappy with the smudges.
@brianarmoured
Thanks so much! I'm going to keep working on the editing, now that I've seen what other people are able to do with it. If nothing else, I'll have a pretty picture to hang in my house.
@mej2011 If you are/become an Ace member you get access to pic monkey via 365 which I think has a retouch tool so you can upload your pic, then edit and re-save it directly over your uploaded version.
@mej2011 I did the clone/heal in photoshop elements. For the lighting, I used Nik Color Efex plug in with PSE and used the Skylight filter, then back in PSE, I clicked on enhance then lighting, then levels and brightened up the exposure a bit.

Thanks Jeff! I didn't really get results to my liking with the healing brush, but close seemed to work a bit better so I'll focus on that more. Where can I find the plug in you used? Sorry, I'm really new to editing.

Thanks so much! I should have gone with my gut and just printed it and submitted it. Oh well. Lesson learned.
Thanks! The area that was smudged before looks great and I like how bright you got the eye. What program/tool did you use?
Thanks again Frank!

Thanks for the information!
