The cheerfulness of the 10km runners

There was a 10 kilometre race through Weston Turville, Wendover and Halton this morning. Where I stood snapping away was roughly half way round the course but there was a steep hill to go.
These two entrants were the freshest and most cheerful looking but not at the end of the pack by any means. I wonder whether they were still smiling at the end? I suspect they were.
That's a great capture - and yes, I can imagine they might still be smiling at the end. The selective colour works really well here - it enhances their cheeriness :o)

A great shot. Yes the selective colour does work really well. They do say running helps to clear the mind. My daughter ran a 10k race today and went home and painted her bedroom.
