Today we headed up town as Colin’s son in law wanted to show us the posh building he is working on for the Qatari Royal Family. It is a lovely historic building virtually in Hyde Park Corner and its interesting facade is listed.

Afterwards Ian treated us to lunch at the Dorchester of course! I started with a Cesar salad with chicken breast at almost £30 and afterwards we shared miniature tiers of cakes and scones from the afternoon tea menu. It was very nice and has improved a little since we last visited ourselves a number of years ago. I’m not sure I’d pay to go there again though and I’m very much looking forward to my afternoon tea at Fortnum and Masons which Colin gave me for last years big zero birthday. I’m saving that for a special occasion.
