8th August 2019

Working again this morning which was broken up later in the day when I popped over to our friend Ann and Richard's house which they moved to recently for afternoon tea. I took a box of Greek baklava as a gift however as she is on a carb free free diet I had to put them in my bag and take them home again for Colin to eat later. It was nice to catch up sat in the garden and we enjoyed strawberries and cream and poached peaches.

On my return in the evening we are back on ‘Whisky duty’ looking after next doors lovely ginger cat. He is more like a dog than a cat and even when our neighbours are at home if he thinks his dinner should have been served, he will come round meowing for me to go and get it for him! We will be looking after him until Monday week when he goes on holiday with his Granny.

This is the sad reminder of my favourite pair of sandals which I accidentally left outside the back door and the fox cubs stole them. One was left in bits in our garden and the second disappeared only to be discovered a few days later badly chewed and exceedingly smelly!
