9th August 2019

It's that time of the month again when I have to go and complete for card counts across the area. I started at Squires Garden Centre which was in its usual mess and frighteningly has already put some Christmas stock out on the shop floor. Afterwards I drove to Twickenham as it was easier to park there first as travelling from Squires. My spinner is doing really well here now and I need to stock well over 100 cards. Onwards to Richmond which again was out of stock of a number of lines. This time we did not stop for afternoon tea in our favourite cafe but instead I bought Colin an Eccles cake and a piece of shortbread for myself to take back and eat at home.

We timed it just right because just after I had managed to park the car (third time lucky getting it straight), there was a torrential downpour. I think we have discovered how why there is damp in the downstairs living room as we watched the water cascade over the drainpipe and guttering. It looks like there is some form of blockage stopping the water flowing so my next task was appealing for help from our neighbours on FaceBook asking for recommendations of reliable and reasonably priced roofers to come and have a look next week - oh dear!
