20th June 2020

Day 88 of lock down.

Another sunny day today I headed to Budgens first thing to pick up my newspaper and also Sainsbury's to buy some croissants to treat Colin for Fathers Day tomorrow. As we enjoyed our coffee in the garden, Colin noticed this lovely female Stag beetle who appears to have just hatched out as she is in excellent condition.

In the afternoon I continued my quest to take photographs for my landmark montage. First I walked to the Grove to take a photograph of the ‘Diana the Huntress’ sculpture on the green next it was down to Teddington footbridge to take a photo of the carved ‘1862’ brick on the original Tough’s boat yard building. I also popped in to the cigar shop on my way around to ask permission to use my photograph of their carved wooden ‘cigar man’ - luckily they were pleased to do so as this is in such a good cause. NPL

I was then continued walking up to the cheese shop (originally the old station coal yard from the 1900s) near the station but unfortunately it is a morning shot not afternoon as it is in shadow so I will have to return another time.

Frittata for dinner and salad this evening.
