2nd July 2021

1 year, 98 days since the start of the 1st lock down in March 2020

Today should have been our summer awards dinner at Fulwell Golf Club in the evening but because the Covid regulations were not lifted on the 21st of June we were forced to cancel. I managed to rebook on the lucky date of Friday 13th of August but numbers are still low so this may need to be cancelled - watch this space.

In the morning I made up some cards for The Card Collection in Molesey and headed over there to deliver them and to collect 6 balloons in red and black to mark our RTPS picnic the evening. I am confident that people will not be able to miss where I will be sitting.

I drove back via Squires for yet another count and attempt to raise a purchase order number. It always seems to take me 2-4 weeks from the initial count to actually getting a number so I can make a delivery - very frustrating.

In the afternoon I paid M&S a visit to buy our picnic ingredients - I think I may have overbought as we have enough for about 6 people but I do like a variety of things to eat.

We drove to marble Hill park early to ensure we were there first and Colin stayed with the car for half an hour to avoid having to pay for ticket. It was a great evening and in the end 18 people including ourselves turned up so no worries about breaching the rule of 30 outside that one of our members had been concerned about. Iy really was nice to see everyone and we actually stayed until we were virtually thrown out by the park warden who was about to lock up. I was right as well - far too much food but at least that’s lunch for the next couple of days sorted out.
