24th December 2021

1 year, 265 days since the start of the 1st lock down in March 2020

Christmas Eve.

Colin is still in a lot of pain form his shoulder and despite the hospital visit last week, we have got to wait until the 13th of January until his MRI scan to get an idea of what is going on and is actually causing all the pain.

I had to catch up with some email first thing and then after coffee we headed out to Bushy Park again for a little more mistletoe for Mum which found more easily this time. I had taken the old food out of Pingados cage and fed the Egyptian geese and their two remain goslings by hand and also this vey friendly squirrel. Then we continued to Hampton Court skating rink again for a second hot chocolate and an Anzac biscuit which was really nice. The day had looked like it was frightening but yet again it started raining and remained great for the rest of the day.

We walked back through Bushy Park and for the third time this week my footsteps were well over 10,000.

Last minute purchases of milk and cream but no foil to be had from M&S. I filled up the bird feeders once home so they have their Christmas dinner for tomorrow and then I cooked our annual Christmas Eve meal - starting with melon and parma ham, then a side of salmon (way too big for the two of us) and finished up with Eton mess. All was washed down with a bottle of Vino Verde that we had bought back from Portugal in September.

The presents are under the tree and I am relegated to the spare room for another night so Colin can sleep better - Happy Christmas everyone.
