7th December 2021

1 year, 248 days since the start of the 1st lock down in March 2020

This morning I had a couple of Etsy orders to despatch which was good although it was torrential rain for most of the day.

For a number of weeks Sarah and I had planned to go to the theatre to see a play with our favourite Sean Evans from Endeavour in it. Unfortunately Sarah has been suffering with Shingles and sadly as I guessed she was too poorly to make it. She emailed me the tickets in the hope that Colin could make it instead but sadly his shoulder is so bad he didn’t feel up to it either. Not to be deterred I decided to go on my own!

The train up was not too busy and most people were wearing their masks. It was a short walk from Waterloo to the Lyttleton theatre within the National Theatre on the South Bank. Everyone was wearing masks and it was well ventilated. It was rather strange to be in the theatre by myself although the advantage was that I had a spare seat next to me! I though the play - The Manor - was very good and with an excellent set. It is the first time I have been to the theatre in over 2-years.

Thank you Sarah for my early Christmas present. I did buy her a program but rather worry this could be seen as rather rubbing it in!

The journey home was uneventful and the carriage was pretty empty.
