Sunday I shot some photos of the boiling of cane syrup at the Rural Life Museum--the old-fashioned, small scale way of processing sugar cane. I wasn't too happy with any of them so I scanned one shot with film in 1998 while on a Cub Scout outing to Napoleonville, Louisiana. This photo captures it better, but no photo can capture the best part of the process, which is the delicious smell....
