The Spanish Town Mardi Gras parade in Baton Rouge is small compared to the big parades in New Orleans, but it's funny, political--and you can catch lots of beads. Or, in my case, take a few hundred photos!
Diana your picture gives me a glimps of what we missed when we were in New Orleans a week too early. I imagine there'll be a lot to see, music and some merriments..reminds me of our Caribana Festival. this year Toronto celebrates the 47th annual Caribana week of August 1st to August 4th. it's like a Caribbean Carnival. over one million people are again expected this year. it's held at the Lake Ontario Waterfront. lots of fun but also lots of people.
