supposedly haunts these adjoining buildings, the Niels and Mellie Esperson buildings in downtown Houston, Texas. Mellie built the one on the right in 1927 in honor of her husband, a successful oil and real estate businessman who had died in 1922. Mellie was an astute businesswoman who managed her husband's companies after his death and contributed generously to the Houston Symphony, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Christian Scientist Church and the theatre.
