"Coming Home: Geoffrey Beene--Southern Reflections"

I knew nothing about fashion designer Geoffrey Beene, but I found his story interesting. He was from the small town of Haynesville in north Louisiana. His family wanted him to be a doctor, so he attended Tulane Medical School for three years. Instead of completing medical school, he went to Los Angeles, New York and eventually Paris to learn fashion design.

I recognize the name but am not completely up on him as a fashion designer. Interesting biography though! Nice retrospective of his work here.
