@grammyn@anazad511 Thanks for all your nice comments! I was feeling like I'd run out of neat places to photograph around here. I look at other people's photos and think I'd love to live where they do, in the mountains or by the ocean. So I decided to do the Local Wonders challenge, and it has inspired me to see things through new eyes.
Nicely sharp throughout with a little authentic blurring of the grass on the far side caused by the boat's smoke stacks. The coal barge contrasts well with the white boats. Very well captured.
Such a busy river!! And so full of history too. I was reading your comment to Katy and Ana, and believe me, you are not alone in feeling that way. Everyone goes through those times when they think the place where they live is not as interesting as the ones they see on here. Like you, 365 has often made me realize my little corner of the world has its own beauty and things for me to discover.
