I've always loved wisteria. Still do. But when we moved to Louisiana from Virginia, I naively bought this one and planted it near my patio with the romantic notion of building a pergola and letting the wisteria twine and the clusters of flowers hang down. That works in more temperate climates. In Louisiana in the summer, you can almost see it grow as it takes over everything nearby and sends out runners to colonize other parts of the yard. We never built the pergola. My husband has declared war on the wisteria, but it survives....
I didn't know it traveled! I have always thought it a beautiful plant too and we see it wild climbing up big trees around here! Beautiful detail, color and light here, Diane!
