My poor dying magnolia

This sad, spindly old magnolia tree was the sole bit of landscaping in our new front yard. It actually produced a few flowers this year, but all the experts agreed it needed to come down to make room for healthy plants. When it came time I couldn't bear to watch. . . .
At least you had the forethought to get this magnificent photo of it. I like the spindly look to it for your photo but not for the tree. It's always sad when a tree has to be cut down

@grammyn Thanks for understanding how sad I felt about this tree. The neighbors tell me it was too crowded when it was young and never had a chance.

I know how you feel. I hate seeing trees come down- even when I know they could be dangerous because they're sick. Will you try to plant another one?
