The news today on our street: a tree fell on the cute little blue house on the corner. A family had just begun renovating the house for their college kids, so luckily no one is living there right now. There was no storm last night, but apparently the ground is saturated and could no longer support the tree roots. Insurance was called, the workers will take tomorrow and July 4 off, and the family plans to make repairs.
Yikes alright! It looks like a nice tree. I hope there wasn't too much damage on the house. now is this a Will of God or or is the house insurance for this kind of damage.
It looks like it almost landed perfectly without doing major damage but then I'm sure from the side you can see where it went through the roof. So sad- they'll probably have to cut it up. Eye-stopping photo!
What a lovely little house - hope it hasn't sustained too much damage but good to hear that no-one was hurt. Shame about the tree, too - looks like it ws a beauty.
Oooooh! Thank God the house was empty at the moment. Sad to see a beautiful big tree falling over. I guess with some care gardeners could straighten it again and support it until its roots take a new grip on the land.
