Located on a beautiful, slightly hilly (for Baton Rouge) piece of land near LSU, City Park Golf Course opened in 1928, the first public golf course in the city. The upper level of the clubhouse now houses the Baton Rouge Gallery, which has shows of local artists' work. The golf course has been restored recently.
