The original color image is older than dirt, a film photo from 1999 that I first posted here on July 1, 2012 after scanning it. Today I converted it to B&W in Silver Efex Pro. I'm not sure about the B&W vs color versions, but I AM in love, and always have been, with film! I just get lazy and cheap and digital is so easy. . . .
It is fascinating to me the differences you notice in the subject from color to black-and-white! In your photo The mountains and the clouds are much more delineated in the black-and-white.
They both look good- I think you could bring up the contrast on the mountains if you wanted to. Hard to say which I favor. I like them both for different reasons. For a while I did miss film. And a while back someone else did a month of film here which I took part in. But it's so hard to wait for the pictures and so much easier to process in digital that I've really grown away from it.
